Little Stitching, Much Fall Décor
Each lady made a fabric pumpkin or two. With simple hand-stitching pumpkins of all shapes, size, and colors were made. All supplies were provided.
God carves and molds us into a unique shape
1. Choose Pumpkin
“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.” 1 Peter 2:9
2. Plan: This May Seem Painful and Confusing
“Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” Philippians 1:6
“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10
3. Clean Inside: The Inside is a Mess
“The heart is deceitful above all things and beyond cure. Who can understand it?” Jeremiah 17:9
4. Put in Light
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5: 14-16
“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light.” Ephesians 5:8
