Keeping a Princess Heart

LIFT on March 20th: "Keeping a Princess Heart" dvd.

We are all “living in a not-so-fairy tale world”. Therefore it was refreshing to hear from Nicole Johnson in her dvd “Keeping a Princess Heart”. It was shown at LIFT on Wednesday, March 20th.

Spring colored flowers and candles adored the church hall while the smell of popcorn filled the air. A beautiful three tiered cake made by Jennifer Nace was available for the ladies to enjoy and eat. Springtime favors were made my Heather. It was a great start to spring even though it did not feel like the first day of spring outside.

Favors by Heather - thanks!!
During our prayer time, many ladies shared about tragedies that had rocked our lives and our communities. Judy read several meaningful scriptures, including:

“The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs—heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.”  Romans 8:16,17

We felt like a princess with a beautiful
cake made by Jennifer - thanks!!
Our topic of keeping a princess heart can remind us how most of us liked to pretend to be a princess when we were little. Everything was fairy tales and imagination. I love the fact that we don't have to imagine that we’re royalty in Christ. When we accept the Lord as our Savior, we are part of his royal family.

Jesus comforts his disciples and mentions a mansion in heaven.
“Do not let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God; trust also in me. In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:1-4

Quotes from “Keeping a Princess Heart” by Nicole Johnson

“What we ended up with is not what we dreamed of.”
“Just because something does not fit you right, it doesn’t mean that you through it out (church, marriage, girlfriends)."
“Girlfriends are as good as cash in your wallet. A friendship is strongest when the Lord is at the center of it.”

"NOW SHOWING: Keeping a Princess Heart"

“We can ‘whistle while we work’ because we’ve discovered Christ.”
“Make me invisible so that You may be visible in the world.”

Fear:
“The terrifying thing about being a parent is that you can be right and wrong at the same time.”
“Let god of your fears. Let go. LET go. LET GO.”
“Can I let go if I can’t see the outcome?”
“Choose Faith over fear.”
“Help us release the white knuckle grip we have on our lives. Help us let go.”
“We can collapse into the freedom of Christ.”

3 Truths of a Princess
1. She is known by the King
2. She is loved by a Princess
3. An eternal “Happily Ever After” awaits.

“Just because something does not
fit you right, it doesn’t mean that you
through it out (church, marriage, girlfriends)."

“Help us release the white knuckle grip we have on our lives. Help us let go.”
