Picture This…WE represent the ping-pong BALL.
SIN represents the RICE.
Sins are our worries, cares and anything we think, say, or do that displeases God. Remember that hurt can also turn into bitterness and sin.
Our sins slowly COVER us. Like the rice covers the ball.
But the good news…
God doesn’t want us to carry around our cares and burdens. He gives us these truths in scripture:
“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9
JESUS represents the WATER.
Jesus helps us rise above our cares and burdens just like when the water is poured over the rice, the ball rises to the top of the jar!!!
“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” 1 Peter 5:7
